The path for LSU moving forward isn't bright. You have a team that has very little natural scoring ability, accompanied with an average game day coach. WW clearly is a great recruiter (or simply pays the most) but he doesn't understand the Xs and Os of the game. He doesn't know or doesn't understand how to make in-game adjustments to stop the other team or place his team in a better position. He admitted in his post game news conference that he has allowed the players to shoot the ball at will, but that he had to get a better hold of what shots they take. What? Anyone with half a brain can clearly see that LSU lacks offensive scoring power, but WW still allowed them to take whatever shots they wanted! Days is a perfect example of how WW doesn't understand making in-game adjustments. Days is a streak shooter. He's either on or he's off. Against Tennessee, Days was clearly off, but he's still taking threes left and right, including one that was almost at half court. A good in-game coach would have never allowed that to happen and would have pulled the player out of the game to talk to him the first time they saw he was having an off night! WW does nothing. In fact, WW never does any in-game adjustments, and against good coaches/teams, you're going to lose more than you win. WW wins most games because he has more talent, not because of his coaching. LSU has more talent on their roster than at any time in recent memory, but they will never be able to consistently win against the best teams in the country because WW is an average to below-average in-game manager. WW can continue to land top recruits, but LSU will never rise to an elite level consistently as long as he's the HC. All the elite teams in the country have great in-game managers that know how to make adjustments during the game to put their teams in a better position to win games. WW doesn't.
Again, the record books say you are wrong. If that "talent" were there one of them would be able to shoot the ball. You are just wrong here plain and simple.
Turns out, I’m a positiger. Sheesh, tough crowd. If there is this much angst in the fanbase, I hope it’s getting through to WW. I still have confidence in WW, but that would change if he lets this continue to spiral. At this point in his career we shouldn’t be back-sliding.
I have confidence in him, but he had best get some shooters. That is my entire point. You cannot win games if you can't score the ball I don't care how good of defense you play. Right now we suck at scoring and it is a problem. Oh and don't lie. That shit he pulled with Pinson is really pissing me off.
there is very little angst in the fanbase and if there were, it would be of zero consequence if wade knew about it https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/basketball-men/d1/ncaa-mens-basketball-net-rankings team is 10 in the NET, the most important ranking. team is not in a spiral. they are fine. we are not "backsliding", we are projected as a 4 seed. last year they were an 8. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/s...ology-projecting-2022-march-madness-men-field
I don't believe we lose all 4 of those games with Pinson and Miller and a 100% Days. I get injuries are part of it, but that's pretty shit luck. I expect we will finish 3rd or 4th in the SEC (again), in a pretty deep year.
