Exactly. Shooting 38% from the field is what killed us.

hey coach no disrespect but I question the “anyone could do that with that talent” statement you’ve made…

We just need scoring. I think Days had 3. There is your ballgame

Good point, but I think you get my point. Today is a classic example. Instead of making adjustments, he tries to out-talent the other team and that doesn't always work. When your team is in a close game, it's about adjustments and WW hasn't demonstrated the ability to do that. Today, LSU had everything in their favor and should have won the game, but often times the lack of in-game coaching/adjustments will cost you in a close game.

Days, Murray, Wilkinson: 74 minutes, 7 points
    Reid: 2 rebounds, 7 points
    Williams: 4 points, 17 minutes

I read LSU scored 2 points in the last 9:00.

I disagree, we are missing Pinson still and Days scored 3 of his usual 15. We could have used those points. They were the difference.

Your comment made my point. When players are out or having an off game, you have to make adjustments and WW doesn't. Days is a streaky shooter and he's going to have more off days simply because he's not a natural scorer. Pinson's injury is part of the game. Good coaches make adjustments to offset their weaknesses and WW just tries to out talent everyone and that will only carry you so long. He brings in all this talent, but he struggles to get the players to buy into the team concept, which is why it appears LSU is playing street ball sometimes. WW also struggles calling timeouts at the right time because he has the mindset that his team's talent will overcome all obstacles and win the game and that's not always the case.

The defense played their asses off. I don't know if you realize this or not but Wade cannot run out onto the floor and shoot the ball. The looks were there, they didn't take a lot of awful shots they just didn't fall. Unless he has a magic basketball that he can control with his iPad there isn't a lot else that he could have done.
