that would be sweet, but then the concern is of course guys wanting more minutes. wade has said many times he likes 8 or 9, but thats maybe to do with never having this many that can play.

its possible this team is so well constructed that there will never be minutes jealousy issues. i got the impression that charles manning was the kind of guy that played that game, and that is why he was walked out mid-season. wade wont have it.

i think mwani has bruised ribs, maybe give him half a game off, he has been working hard.

i used to not believe really in cumulative exhaustion, especially for young people. i figured you get a night of good sleep and its back to 100%. but i changed my mind i think a season long grind will wear the legs out over the course of months. the depth will matter. when guys are burying jumpers in march i think it will be because they have 10 right now.

This crap has been going on since the Shack. He was the most fouled and less called in all college ball.
For some reason the refs hate LSU BB.

But it was like that for him in the NBA, too. Just the nature of his game, I think.

I guess it is the underdog syndrome. These refs can tell almost immediately who has the stronger team and they attempt to help the weaker team by calling fouls on the stronger team.
I guess it is human nature. I hope it is not some inbred hatred against LSU.

Just curious. Will Wade, young guy, not from Louisiana. This dude could be coaching for a while. Does he stay at LSU and become a Dale Brown type figure? Will a bigger basketball program come after him and will he bolt? I know it is all about the money at some point but Im wondering if LSU has gotten in his blood yet or if this is just a stepping stone for him.

    Thoughts?

As to Shack and the NBA. Fouling was devised by Popovich to stop Shack before he got to the rim. They would put the expendables on him to Hack-A-Shak to take advantage of his bad free throw shooting. This brought about rule changes (after Shack) that curbed the intentional fouling and flagrant fouling that Popovich thought up.

better get to work on a new basketball ops including a new arena if LSU wants to keep wade…. I also suspect mulkey was assured of the same

the fly in the ointment is the ncaa ruling forthcoming. I don’t think LSU wants to extend until that’s settled, but wade gets all the negotiating chips when cleared or a slap on the wrist like pearl got at auburn….

A young, successful coach at a football college is always being circled by the big basketball school vultures. I am sure he has been circled until the FBI thing came up.
If he stays though simply falls in the hands of the AD and his opinion of how much the man is worth to the image of LSU and how much he agrees with Wade as to what Wade needs to excel at a football college. BY going after the Baylor coach, AD Woodward indicated he is not an AD for only a football college. If he supplies the incentive, Wade stays.

i would hope wade appreciates how LSU stuck by him through all this, including a AD change. I hope he is long term.
