brandon murray being out really hurt. didnt expect them to go undefeated. like i said, i will be thrilled with 5-2 over this 7 game stretch. only two players, pinson and days, had ever played in a hostile gym. last year it was half crowds and cardboard cutout fans. justice williams is a very hightly rated player. we shall see. if he can shoot that would be helpful going foward. not sure what the story is though, if he will stay redshirted or whatever. you can play a few games and keep the redshirt.
Barely (53% is better than 35%) and we aren’t 35% recently. Especially on the road. Until we hit 3s, 3s are not the answer. First 7 games don’t expect to turn around the 3s.
shareef can shoots 3's, as can justice williams, i hope. plus if healthy murray can shoot. going forward there is reason to be optimistic they can shoot it better.
Was Murray playing hurt before missing the Auburn game? Hurt or not, he exemplifies LSU's 3 point shooting this year, 13 of 41, 31.7%. So no, his return doesn't necessarily help this aspect of the team.
i have no knowledge of him being hurt prior. he has a hamstring problem now. true enough 31% is not good enough. but he is a scorer, came in as a recruit as a 3 level scorer. i dont see why he wont improve. pinson, on the other hand, has never been a shooter. his job is cool headed role player. lets not jump off a bridge. it was a road loss against a top team with a bunch of young players with zero road SEC experience. the shooting numbers are disturbing. but it will be ok. just added a top 50 player in williams to the rotation, and shareef can shoot.
Very small sample, but Williams looked like he handled the moment well. Hope he's not going to be sent back to the bench when Murray returns. We need more offense off the bench.
