the ncaa claims one instance of lack on institutional control was givin odell a field pass. this is the most minor and petty thing in the universe. they gave a highly successful recent alum a field vip pass. thats lack of control? fucking NCAA. they exist to have useles jobs, not to serve the players/students. fuck them
ad everyone did it anyway, as they should. players deserve it. the NCAA makes billions off kids that wake up at 5 am to go to the gym.
Not entirely true. The NIL stuff allows players to cash in on their name, etc. but payment is not directly from the school or coaches. That is still illegal.
I've been reading the back and forth here for some time regarding WW. I am going to make a comparison with Les Miles and his football record. Please, I am not trying to compare sports, rather I am comparing arguments for having a coach fired so here me out. Many Les haters back in the day. He had success and was winning 9-10 games or so and we (me among we) were calling for his replacement. Yes, he was winning games but losing the most important games. He was always a win or two away from being able to make it to a BCS bowl game or championship. But, we were able to make an x's and o's argument about his coaching style and how it won't be able to overcome those losses. People agreed. People disagreed. But there was evidence presented not just feelings. I agree with you. Haters need to break down a loss and tell me how his coaching philosophy was in error. I am not convinced he is a bad coach. When I read here that he needs to go it is not about what he did wrong coaching the team. Let the chips ride in this case.
no other team finished in the top 5 in the league last 4 years but wade. he never missed the tournament since his first year. his winning percentage was the highest in school history.
sure but its a farce. you want to play payers, you pay them. he NCAA is tacitly acknowledging this with NIL. there is nothing wrong with paying players its a dumb rule and now they are paid as much as the coaches want them to be paid.
