I thought it was the best game of the year for LSU. It's not just about winning and losing, but I saw a lot of effort and fight that's been missing in a lot of games. For the first time this year, I felt like LSU attacked the rim and it paid off. LSU should have won the game, but the stupid fouls got them again and that's WW's fault. Fans are going to blame the refs, but the bottom line is this team has been very undisciplined all season, especially with the stupid fouls 90 feet away from the basket. That falls on WW's shoulder because he needs to teach the players proper positioning and when it's okay to try and go for the turnover and when to back off. This team has the potential to make a run in the tournament, only if it continues to attack the basketball and stops committing the stupid fouls. If LSU returns to settling for threes, they will be one and done.
your preferred coach is having a disaster of a season at ole miss. problem with that guy is he does not make in-game adjustments. doesnt develop players. anyone who knows basketball can see that.
6 games out I gave a metric (4-2 would be success, I didn’t see better than 3-3). You didn’t venture a guess on how we’d do (hard to be wrong when you don’t say anything). A win against Bama would get us to 3-3, which would be a little better than I expected (trade a Q1 win in game 6 for a Q2 loss, I think in game 3). RE AP poll being useless (AP/SEED): 1 1 Gonzaga 2 1 Arizona 3 1 Baylor 4 2 Duke 5 2 auburn 6 1 Kansas 7 2 Kentucky 8 3 Purdue 9 4 providence 10 2 Wisconsin All 8 top seeds, a 3 seed, and a 4 seed. NET/SEED: 1 1 Gonzaga 2 1 Arizona 3 5 Houston 4 1 Baylor 5 2 Kentucky 6 2 Duke 7 3 villanova 8 1 Kansas 9 3 Tennessee 10 2 auburn 7 of the top 8, 2 #3s, and a #5. We’ll see how it turns out, but the NET is just a tool. The AP is reflective of popular opinion which is probably more reflective of seeding.
the selection committee does not use AP or any polls of opinion. they use objective metrics, as everyone always should.
