I think it was open because South Carolina's defense wanted it that way. They would rather take their chances on a long three than allowing the ball inside where LSU might make it or at least draw a foul and win it at the free throw line. This is just another case of WW's coaching costing LSU another game. You have one of the best point guards in the country that has a sweet layup and one of the best all around players in Eason and he doesn't even touch the ball. Mindboggling! Just another case where LSU had twice as much talent, a huge lead and forced the opposing team into 20 turnovers and still lost. Quit blaming the refs, injuries and put the blame on the shoulders of WW where it belongs. Saturday's loss marks the 50th loss for WW as LSU head coach, not to mention against another inferior team. A good/great coach would have LSU on an upward trajectory after 5 years and competing with the best teams in the country. WW has the team struggling to beat the bottom dwellers of his own conference!
it was the same okay they ran with Walters against Maryland in the ncaa I read elsewhere Pinson had the option to drive or pass , 2 men collapsed on pinson and he kicked it out to days. in hindsight, I would rather Eason with the ball but it was a good look by days and was off the game was lost at the ft line… that and feast or famine Gaines… the negative 5 point swing by Wilkinson, etc, etc a bad loss for sure

loss stats are only meaningful relative to wins. try to think harder. you are embrassing yourself. tom brady has 75 losses. does he suck?
I'm a huge LSU fan, but I talk realistically and call it like it is! WW is a joke of a coach and he's proved it over and over. He knows how to pay them, but he has no clue how to coach or improve their skill level once they arrive. The play WW called that put the ball in Days' hands for a three is a prime example of what an idiot he is! You have two great players in Pinson and Eason and plenty of time to draw up some type of play to maybe drive the basket for the win or get fouled, run a screen to free a player for a closer shot or take a short jump shot, which is a much higher percentage shot to make for the win. WW does none of that! In fact, Eason doesn't even touch the ball! Your most talented and consistent player on the team all season doesn't even touch the ball. Shooting a three was exactly what South Carolina wanted! You clearly just don't understand the Xs and Os of the game and neither does WW. What upward trajectory are you taking about? Is losing 50 games in 5 years, mostly to inferior teams, making one NCAA tournament appearance, getting suspended by your university, taking a $250,000 cut in pay to keep his job and currently being under federal and NCAA investigation on the right path? You might want to google what upward trajectory means!
