5? you are counting this year? do you understand the nature of time? he cant get in a time machine and go play a month from now right now. you cant count this year until tje tournament actually happens and he is a lead pipe lock to make it. he has only played 4 years. and one year the tournament was canceled so its not fair to hold that against him either. LSU has missed exactly zero NCAA tournaments since after wade's first year. your claim is hugely and intentionally misleading.
let me further explore the dishonesty of : "WW has led LSU to ONE NCAA Tournament in five years!" 2018: will wade inherited disaster team (was 2-16 in the league), turned them around, won game in NIT, winning record. 2019: made tournament, won SEC 2020: made tournament but it was cancelled, 2nd in SEC 2021: made tournament. 3rd in SEC 2022: made tournament but it isnt until next month.
The question is how many times was that line-up used when we were in the skid? If not much, maybe that means the skid can be attributed to Pinson being out, but it could also mean Pinson was out for maybe the toughest stretch of our schedule and the numbers are skewed.
It's both, but more the former, I think. That 7 game stretch (in which we went 1-6) had some tough games, but we also had losses to Ole Miss and Vandy. With a healthy Pinson, I think we are 4-3 at worst, and probably 5-2. Pinson only played 23 minutes in that 7 game stretch, all coming against TCU (7) and Ole Miss (16).
Wow, its been a real roller coaster ride on this thread lately ! But the kids are back healthy and hitting on all cylinders. The bench has gotten some playing time and that will pay big dividends in the tournaments to come. Unless martians come and beam up the entire team they are a lock for NCAA with a pretty good seed. And with the defense they can bring there's no telling how far the could go. As to the Will is a bad guy thing... despite all the supposed smoke, nobody has accused him of anything. Anything at all. And its not like they haven't had time to noodle it out. That could all change tomorrow but until and unless it does there is not much point in whining about it. Be thankful that he's re-invigorated the program and has it being an SEC contender.
thats obvious having watched those games and the WHYs behind why they struggled. Will likes to have multiple PGs and this is why.
I mean, we’ve seen improvement versus the likes of aTm and UGA. SCAR this weekend isn’t too hot either. Improved performance against bad teams leaves things uncertain in my mind. The set offense still looks rough. I’m hoping we go better than 3-3 to close out the regular season, because we absolutely should do no worse than 3-3.
