That is one hell of a coaching effort from midway through the first. Lose again because we can't fucking score. Cot damnit!
i see, so you would ignore a winning team and fire a coach based on your perception of his winning strategy? winning isnt enough, the coach needs to win in a way that satisfies you? i dont think its clear to you why the games are played. (its to win)
i went to the game, team and arena seemed flat until they turned it around, but it was too late. gotta fix these slow starts, they are a plague on this team.
I'm really leaning more and more to thinking that we will never really be able to succeed because of the zebras. It is so blatantly obvious now and nothing is being done about it. Maybe that is the leagues way of dealing with Wade.
It is about winning in the end, but you can easily identify a good coach because their teams gradually improve over time. WW has no strategy! WW's approach to coaching is I'm going to buy the best 4/5 stars out there and I'm going beat you because I have more talent and better athletes. Last night's game against Ole Miss was a prime example that shows WW isn't a good basketball coach. LSU was at home on national television against an Ole Miss team that was 11-10 overall and 2-6 in the SEC. If that's not the cellar of the SEC, I don't know what is. At every position, LSU clearly had more talent and it wasn't even close. This game should have been a glorified practice. LSU was a huge 14-point favorite entering the game, but midway through the second quarter they're down by 24!!!! Why? Because Ole Miss has a much better coach in Kermit Davis that knows how to make adjustments during the game. Ole Miss scored early and often because they ran multiple offensive sets and LSU didn't know how to defend it. Defensively, they kept LSU at bay because they ran multiple defensive schemes from man-to-man, 2-3 and even used a box and one some. WW made no changes. His philosophy is I have better players so I should win. You will probably say LSU almost came back and won, but the point is they should never be in the position in the first place. LSU has studs up and down the roster, but you have to coach them and not let them just shoot any shot they want, which WW admitted he was allowing them to do. You give a good coach the amount of talent LSU has and there in the top 5 in the country. It's not the talent that's lacking, but the coaching.
