Bottom of the 8th: Tigers leave runners at 2nd & 3rd... Nich 3-11-1 LSU 12-16-1 Headed to the top of the 9th...
Who'd a thunk it? Don't we have to win something like the remaining 9 games to even get a chance to play in the SEC tournament? That's pathetic.
we have 12 SEC games left against the four worst teams besides us: Kentucky (4-14), @Alabama (8-10), Tennessee (5-13), @Miss State (7-11) SEC season is only 60% over, with 144 games left between 12 teams, so not sure what we need to do to get to the SEC tournament, but looking at past seasons, it would be something like this: finish 12-0 (16-14) - 100% chance finish 11-1 (15-15) -- 90% chance finish 10-2 (14-16) -- 90% chance finish 9-3 (13-17) -- 33% to 50% chance finish 8-4 (12-18) -- no chance
that's our 2nd-highest hit total this season. #1 was the 17 hits against the College of the Holy Cross in week 2
So the answer to the question we have all been asking ourselves.... Yes, it IS too much to ask for this team to beat the 11th team in the SEC, at home. Kentucky has given up 6 runs per SEC game.
