THAT was a bonafide whoopin. HUGE day at the plate for a lot of Tigers but honors go to Kade Scivicque for crushing 2 home runs. Bregman sent one over the fense for a team effort of what looked like a day of gorilla ball. Competitive day on the mound rounded out by some damn strong defense provides the Tigers with their 2nd sweep in as many weeks. LSU is very strong this season and if you are an opposing team with a shallow bullpen, ya better get ready cause it will not be pretty for you. Nice to see the adjustment from last weekend where we scored in bunches...but little else. This weekend demonstrated that LSU has the depth to recognise and adjust on their weaknesses. Freshman arms are coming along and hope to look real strong once we hit league play. It's almost insane to see how deep we are in the pen to look ahead to next year when the pen will be down right nasty.

This Tiger team has me enthused about the season. I think we have more talent then we've had in several years all around. The hitting I'm expecting to be way more consistent them the past few years. And the pitching depth will be very deep if all of these young arms mature quickly. We need for a couple of our experienced pitchers to step up especially in long relief when a starter has problems. We've never had this much talent on the mound and with a tremendous pitching coach in Dunn I really do believe this team can be special. Hated to hear about Jordan's injury but he is a freshman and he'll hopefully recover quickly.
