Bergman has been terrible on the base paths for a long time now. It's his only fault but it's a big one. He needs to quit tryjng to do too much. Gets thrown out at 3rd and picked off all too often. 4 times in the same inning but errors and bad calls saved him 3 of those. Been waiting for mainieri to check him at the dugout.
I'll take his shit and like it. I love that all or nothing attitude and until it cost us a game, he can run the field like he is the only one out there. His givings far exceed his misgivings. So I allow it. Kind of like putting up with chinea. He lacks speed and an eye for a pop fly, but he is a dream killer at the plate, so I allow it. Pros will give bregman discipline, but for now, he is raw and unchained. I love that.
Of course it ain't, but wake me up when a loss is on him. Wanna be concerned about something, Lange has missed the outside of the plate over the last 3 games. Ain't been right since he sat out the barn. He has served it up nicely as of late. I hope it is just a funk.
