two outs top 9, uk batter hits a liner to left where jared foster inexplicably dives and the ball gets past. hes only in because of fraleys injury. (you keep the ball in front at all costs with 2 outs and none on with a lead) and the ball rolled...and rolled slowly. but kept rolling til bregman finally got to it then fell on his ass as he was going to throw to home plate. he almost threw sitting down to foster but didnt. the tying run scored easily. 2 out 9th inning in the park homer. we had the winning hit friday but it hit the runner. and we lost. just weird shit all around. two tough teams. all went to the final at-bat.
We were bound to lose a series and these kentucky fuggers would simply never go away. They are a good team and we needed this. We need this to find out that we are human and some teams just will not leave. I truly believe we are the best team in the nation right now, but this was a reality check. this is the kind of loss that builds character. Can't afford to do it again, but I do believe this was a necessary evil.
i agree with this. theres something special about this team and i dont say that casually. can they peak at the right time when/if the bullpen comes together. too many mental errors this weekend which usually isnt the case. could be a learning experience in a big way. or take them the other route and they start questioning themselves. im thinking the former.

What an awful way to lose the game. Kentucky and LSU have some weird finishes from Pitino's boys comeback in the PMAC to the Bluegrass Miracle and that 3OT nonsense during the '07 run and this weirdo ending. The great thing is we can learn from it and get better as others already stated. Just can't have the "learning experiences" become too frequent.
Final: (zephyr field) ULL- 6 LSU- 8 Bregman and Scivicque account for 7 RBI's. Bullpen...not so good.
With an SEC series starting Thursday I didn't want to see Stallings on the mound tonight. One inning wouldn't bother most closers but Stallings hasn't been able to recover very quickly.
I am tired of these Thursday weekend series starts. Why the hell are they doing it? Ever since this started just about every pitcher has shit the bed except Lange.
for this stupid secnetwork+ watchespn crap formerly known as espn3. i still rather not stream a game. thats why i pay a billion dollars a month to directv.
