I am so excited about the game tonight, we are leaving Mississippi (I hope) around lunch to go to my sons house in Birmingham. It just depends on what time my husband gets home from offshore, then we gotta drive to Brookhaven to pick up my daughter and grandbaby. I hope we can get there before the game starts, if not I will listen to it on the Sirius channel until we get there.

I agree. UNC is getting a reputation of being good, but folding like an accordian in big pressure games!!!!

The key is to get ahead early and take the wind out of UNC. If we can do that I'll feel really confident.

We just can't let them do that to us.

anyone else think that schimpf should move up in the order?

i like having a guy with a decent OBP at 9 but its stupid to have what's your 3rd best hitter (and maybe your best hitter lately) at 9. odds are he'll get one less AB. the only reason to keep him there is if you think it'll screw up his head.

with this working-man's pitching staff the tigers have to score a bunch. cant expect them to always get a bunch in the 9th.

at the very least i'd switch him with landry. probably best to move him up higher and swap with hollander, but if you want to keep the lefty righty thing going, swap him with mitchell.

maineiri would probably think that the team would revert to playing like in the first half since schimpf used to lead off and hollander was hitting 9th.

if that was the case, they never would have made it to two consecutive title games.

If you are taking Hwy 84 out of Brookhaven, you will pass right by my post office (where I work). If you take I55 S, you will be within 7 miles of my house. Ya'll drive careful.
