As I said in another thread, shades of how we beat UCI, the jitters ended in the 9th and then carried thru to the next game. I can see this being the case in the CWS as well. Our bats are now awake and will do what we need to get past UNC and their stellar pitching. :geaux: :tigbas: :LSU231:
On the last game........I had just got off work.... I turned on the truck radio.. bottom of the ninth..........real quick..one out....I think,"Oh, well." Then a single and a hit batsman......People meeting me on the road probably thought I was nuts. When LSU got two on, I began to laugh and pound my steering wheel, saying " that's your a$$......that's your a$$." Damn.......sometimes I wish I could be a TIGER.....:tigbas::thumb:
you can. There's still room on the bandwagon. of course you would have to change that avatar of yours first.
I agree 100%. Looking back, 1st game of the SEC tourney and we fight back in the 9th to beat SC. After that game, never really challenged again in the SEC tourney. Regionals: Obviously just better than the rest of the competion. Supers: 9th inning scenario. Battle back to win it then, DEMOLISH UCI in the championship game. CWS: You know the beginning of the story. I can really see us putting up huge numbers for the rest of the CWS. If that happens, the pitching is good enough to hold anyone left in the tourney to a minimal amount of runs. In my eyes, we are just where we need to be. :geaux:
I find that if rival fans bring hot chicks and beer to our tailgate, we usually let them keep their team's shirt on. :thumb:
Not to get too far off of topic...but the strike zones have been HORRIBLE. Every game, every team....just plain horrific. Watching right now I don't know how a hitter or a pitcher knows what to do. As an ex-player I am telling you that it doesn't matter if the Ump has a messed up strike zone as long as he is consistent with it. But these guys are all over the place. It's a ball twice then a strike...a strike 3 times then a ball...I would just swing at everything.
