Yes, a pleasantly unexpected final season for the Box. What a way to send it out, by hosting a regional.

Good question. Maybe someone in the know can run that down.

I will say, though, that UNO gave us all we could handle. So clearly, there LSU is not yet back in the untouchable realm.

But this team has moxie and that goes a long, long way.

And the pitching has stepped up, and that goes a long way as well.

UNO was on a 13 game streak of their own.
Besides, that means absolutely nothing. That's baseball. MSU, last in the west, is fixing to sweep Arky.

The more I read your post, the more incredulous I become. UNTOUCHABLE?? Are you daft, Man? No one is untouchable in baseball. You face a good pitcher on his A game and you are going down, I don't care who you are.

we've never been in the untouchable realm. yet we've always risen to the opposition when it counted most in posteason. this streak is beyond amazing considering the opposition of today's game.

i posted this before sabanfan lost his marbles i just didnt hit post.

I don't think anyone said we were untouchable. I believe most of the comments regarding how good we have been are more in reference to the 16 win streak. In that regards there is no one as good as we are right now.

    Well...

The guys were just pointing out that LSU...or anyone for that matter...has NEVER been untouchable, in response to the first post I quoted. It's baseball. Has anyone ever gone undefeated??

Tom Slater resigned as HC after the game. Thanks for driving the nail in that coffin for us. That's all that mattered about the loss. Maybe we can now get a decent coach.

Glad to see that this game ended the way it was supposed to.

    Am I missing something?

I was agreeing with the 2 posters that pointed out that we have never been untouchable. And confirming the poster that remarked "is there anyone as good as we are now". Our 16 game win streak is currently the longest in college baseball, so no, no one is as good as we are right now.

Other than that I must be missing something.
