Well .. I"ve watched all of them .. and my observations are quite a bit different from yours. I've seen breakdowns in different facets of the passing game on any given game, but I"ve not seen all of those facets fail at once, nor have I seen them all come together at once. On one or two games, we had protection problems. On one or two games, we had receiver problems. On one game, we had pocket awareness problems. Last game, aTm, we saw accuracy problems ... likely in part due to the wind. It's seemed that when we irons out one wrinkle, another one forms. But this is not to say that the passing game can't all come together. LSU will have that "good game", where pass protection is great, WR's catch the ball, Mett shows some maturity, and also accuracy. I'm hoping that game is this Saturday Night. If it is, it will open up the running game and while Bama is good, nobody can completely stop the LSU run game if they are having to guard against the pass. The only way they stop the run is with 9 guys in the box. Like I said .. potential!! It's not what you've seen, it's what you know you can see.
College Football News issues their prediction: Business as usual. Another week, another team jacked up to take down the No. 1, another big letdown. Alabama 27, LSU 13 They predict McCarron will be "patient, calm, and unrattled even when LSU comes up with a few big plays." and they predict "a miserable day from Mettenberger."
It's the safe bet, but it takes zero intagibles into account. I guess if I had to write something, I would call for a Bama victory, but I would add that my reader should not be surprised if LSU rises to the challenge, given their history.
Exactly. bama wins on paper, but that shit is flammable with the college football gods bearing witness.
Fair assessment but boring and scared in its theme. Tiger stadium bitches . at night 22 straight. Counts for nothing? Imagine if the script was flipped and Bama had won 22 straight at home. Pretty sure it'd be the reverse story. But that's not possible anyhow. They don't have a 22 game home win streak. Thanks to us.
Im always excited when we play the gumps. I could easily bet against us if I think we won't cover. Comes from years of practice back in the wheel barrel days. And I'd be happy if Lsu won even if it meant I lost. Just turns out to be a bad analysis on my part. Money has no emotion. And I dont bet except on occasion for fun. I just like the numbers game.
Alabama will score 30 + points and if LSU does not find something on offense that will work they will not be able to keep up. The longer our offense can stay out the more rest our defense will get.
