Based on the only common opponent so far, it appears LSU matches up very well with Bama. Draw your own conclusions.
At what point and how many of the 2nd and 3rd string players did Bama play? Not exactly apples to apples when that is thrown into the equation.
I don’t know. I just don’t know. I’ve seen LSU teams loaded compete with them and lose. I’ve seen LSU teams with no quarterback and no offensive line compete with them and almost beat them. No depth LSU defenses hold them to season low points. It feels different this year because we are seeing a certain position perform, and actually get better from week to week. Burrow isn’t just playing good, he is getting better, more comfortable, and that’s something....shit I don’t know when the last time I saw this was. Can LSU beat Alabama? Of course. Will LSU beat Alabama? That I don’t know. But I know that this team just like years before match up against them better than anyone else save maybe Georgia now. If our D can’t stop them, no one in the country can. Focus right now has to be The Swamp. Mullen beat Orgeron last year, and not just beat, more like beat the fuck out of.... let’s just beat Florida.
Bama scored 62 straight in them... How does the saying goes, styles makes fights... How they did against common opponents will have very little to no bearing on how we do against each other... I just hope the team is thinking about fuck Florida and not the first weekend in November...
