How does the fact that we beat Miss St on 10/20/01 make any difference to a team 10 years later and with a different coach? If anything, you can take all those numbers up to 2004 & apply them to Bama. I love numbers & I love stats, but are we saying that LSU has a better chance at night because of our record when some of these players were still in middle school?
My take is that this means... 1) LSU has a rich history of getting up for Night Games. Especially BIG night games. 2) Other teams - like Oklahoma - umm, well they don't. : )
Nope, 2005 was a night game, because I remember drinking the night away as we were getting our butts kicked.
It's all fine and good .. but the only three that serve any indication for this game would be .... Oregon MState WVU And of those three .. I think Cowbell Hell is probably the most telling. If LSU can pull off a win with the constant ringing of those dang bells, then I'd say there is absolutely nothing the Gumps can do to shake the concentration of this team. I don't think the "homefield advantage" is going to help Bama much. It's just not an issue with this LSU team.
Kick off was at 6:00 PM EST ... 5:00 CST. So ... don't know whether or not you want to consider that a night game or an afternoon game. ... more of a beer and pizza for dinner time, IMO
playing devil's advocate. only one of those was against a top 10 team at their place. i wonder if lsu has ever beaten a #2 team (or better) on the road?
Looks like his cutoff point was 6 PM CST But in December, a 5 PM CST start is definitely a night game. But it was indoors, so maybe the affect of not sensing it as a night game was an overriding factor.
