13 handoffs have netted 37 yards. At least we're trying to run the ball but it ain't happening. AU taking away the short routes and getting enough pressure with 4 that there's no time for TJ to go through progressions (assuming he knows his progressions). This is all about the o-line getting manhandled.
It ain't our line it's the QB play. He has time he is a damm freshman and it's showing in this game. Game aint over
3 drops, two by Marshall on the first series, one by Curry. Auburn has taken away the run and the quick throw, and are getting pressure with 4, so they can drop 7 in coverage. It ain't genius defensive coaching, but its good coaching and better execution. Johnson might be a better option at this point, just because he's a better runner. The 2 TOs are on Finley, but I don't see them as freshman mistakes.
It's a freshman who looks good when the O-line can protect him and run block too... They aren't doing either very well today.
