Myself and a group of about 13 other people are headed down to New Orleans the weekend of October 13th-15th. We purchased tickets to the LSU/Auburn game on the Saturday. What's the best way to get from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and back on game day? I called a bunch of bars to see if they set up any buses that provided transportation/beer/food but haven't had any luck. Do you guys know of any bars that do that? We'd like to get there early enough to tailgate for a while. Thanks in advance.

Rent a large van. On of those church vans should do it.

Looked into a bunch of transportation services but they are all pretty expensive(we need a driver). Lots of bars where I live set up coach buses and charge like $75 for transportation/food/beer to go to games. Was hoping for something similar.

Nothing like that here that I know of. Your best bet would be to get transportation to and from Baton Rouge and the LSU campus. For food and beer go to either The Chimes on Highland Rd or Walk On's across from Tiger Stadium. Both have good food. The Chimes has sn oyster bar if you are into raw oysters but Walk On's is more of a sports bar with lots of TV's.

LSU tries to play all home games at night but I have a feeling that the Auburn game will be move to 2:30 PM for CBS.

Walk around all the tailgate areas and I'm sure y'all will be offered jambalaya, gumbo and other Cajun goodies as well as beer and whisky

For your transportation I'm pretty sure I Greyhound has a number of buses running daily between Baton Rouge and New Orleans. I don't know if they come near the campus but the bus station is only 4 or 5 miles away so taxi or Uber wouldn't be that expensive if you can avoid surge pricing.

Rent something. I went to Notre Dame game saturday. Had hotel 20 miles from stadium. Used Uber entire trip. $30 to get to game $140 to get back (plus 2 hour wait for ride). MUCH cheaper to rent car/van
