Don't get too upset over it just yet. These kids have to learn how to win. For over a decade, we had a roster full of players that knew how to get it done. Unfortunately, after Smoke's tenure, we have nobody now. So we got to start from scratch again.

Just for a little more discouragement - Lipscomb University, a private, coeducational, liberal arts institution associated with the Churches of Christ. in Nashville, with an enrollment of about 2700, defeated Tennessee 6-4 yesterday.

I'm going to bring this up when someone complains that PM is leaving his starters in too long. :hihi:

To Roy Collins: Chill. Lots of time left in the season. I want to see improvement as the year progresses but I'm not naive enough to think we will suddenly be better than SCe, KY, Arky, Vandy and others. Patience is a virtue.

CPM and Rooney are from the new school that believe heavily in pitch counts with their young arms. If they leave a guy out there longer than excpected its to season him but they will not overuse him.

Mainieri believed they would compete for the West this year and they still might though I doubt it personally. I suppose Ole Miss has the goods.

I disagree with CPM throwing his players under the bus constantly. this happens almost weekly and is bad form.

He doesn't like losing, that's for sure.
