Ok, so now we have to share the SEC Champs trophy with Old Piss. I would think if we cut it in1/2, front to back, and give them the ars end side that should work out nicely.
Ole Miss already has a SEC Champions picture on their website. I guess when you don't often get a chance to win something, you take full advantage of it. :hihi:
It looks like the SEC Tournament is almost set. I hope this is accurate. Seedings: 1) LSU 2) Florida (East Champs) 3) Ole Miss 4) Alabama 5) South Carolina 6) Georgia 7) Arkansas 8) Vanderbilt Game 1: Arkansas vs. Florida (10 a.m. Wed) Game 2: Georgia vs. Ole Miss (1:30 p.m. Wed) Game 3: Vanderbilt vs. LSU (5 p.m. Wed) Game 4: South Carolina vs. Alabama (8:30 p.m. Wed) Game 5: Loser Game 1 vs. Loser Game 2 (10 a.m. Thu) Game 6: Loser Game 3 vs. Loser Game 4 (1:30 p.m. Thu) Game 7: Winner Game 1 vs. Winner Game 2 (5 p.m. Thu) Game 8: Winner Game 3 vs. Winner Game 4 (8:30 p.m. Thu)
Looks good to me. LSU will play Vanderbilt Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. The CSS broadcast should be simulcast on Cox, CST. More details tomorrow... Vandy still tied w/ Tennessee, 7-7 Top of the 10 the coming up, Vols batting
The tiebreaker only applies for tournament seeding, but not to the regular season. There's some more detail on that in earlier posts. Off to go watch the semi-epic Lady Tigers
I'm glad LSU was able to get nine innings of hitting today. Give a lot of credit to the MSU pitcher yesterday, though. He was lights out for the first eight innings, giving LSU a tough time. On the bright side, there aren't many games where you'll see Coleman and Ott blow it. Hopefully, this was their last bad outing of the season, and LSU can ride them, along with Ranaudo to good things. Congrats on the SEC title, co or not, LSU! :geaux:
Look at the difference between the two sites. We call it what it is while they leave out some of the facts. Typical Ole Piss. I wouldn't be surprised to see SEC champs 2009 put up in their football stadium with baseball written in fine print. Rebels Claim SEC Championship With 16-3 Win Over Arkansas No mention of LSU anywhere in the article. LANDRY LEADS LSU TO 15-4 WIN OVER MISSISSIPPI STATE; TIGERS CLAIM SHARE OF 2009 SEC TITLE We, on the other hand, gave Ole Piss credit for the shared title...even though we owned them with the head to head.
