Right. Say we won tonight and Bama got rained out. We pick up a half game for a 1 game lead. Since Bama lost, we pick up the other half game.
If we win tomorrow, we clinch a tie against the 2 teams that we own the tiebreaker against. Bama's fkd if Coleman wins.
I wanted all four games to go our way tonight. (wishful thinking) Even so, I got the two that I wanted the most. 1) LSU win 2) Alabama loss 3) Ole Miss loss 4) Florida loss My order for tomorrow: 1) LSU win 2) Ole Miss loss 3) Florida loss 4) Alabama loss
We own the tiebreaker in head to head, but if there is a 3 way tie, what are the tiebreakers? I don't think it's head to head then, but I don't know.
It was nice to have so many people here tonight keeping up with the game. Hopefully we'll still be at it in another month. Goodnight! :geaux:
We won the series vs. Ole Miss and Florida, thus we own thetiebreaker. Even though we beat Bama 2/3, they played one less game so (and I don't understand this), we have to beat them in the standings. With tonight's win and Bama's loss, we have to lose 2 and they have to win 2. As to Fla and OM, we only need one more win, even if they sweep. Edit: I think.
Tiebreakers are not used in determining the final SEC standings, only the seeding in the SEC Tournament. If we are tied with any team after Saturday we share the SEC title. However, because we own the tiebreaker against all teams in contention we would have the #1 seed. So we can clinch share of the SEC title and the #1 seed in the tournament tomorrow. If Bama, UF, and OM losses and LSU wins then we clinch the outright SEC title.
head to head is 1st tie-breaker both LSU and Ole Piss have tiebreaker over Florida. LSU then holds tie breaker over Ole Piss. Only way Bama can end in a tie with anyone is if someone else has a game rained out and not made up.
