I was also thinking 6-6 early on, but I'm a little more optimistic now. I'm thinking 8 or even 9, if we can get a couple of lucky breaks. We have so many new players out there, including some true freshman, and in the SEC that's not an ideal situation. For me, it's not the total losses that I'm focused on, but how we lose. Are we simply getting blown away or are we competing until the end and just end up coming up short? I think CBK has done an amazing job and it's clear this team does not stop fighting and that's not something we've seen very often in the past. UT will be a great measuring stick to exactly where we are in the SEC.
Our second half adjustments have been outstanding this year compared to previous coaches IMO. I just wish we didnt have to rely on them so much.
Second and goal, a little over 12 minutes left in the game, trailing 17-21, Harsin calls a WR-reverse-pass that was pressured hard, causing the WR to panic, retreat a bit, and then throw a lame pass that was intercepted by Harold Perkins. That was some dumbshit playcalling right there.
I’ve said 7-5 all year. But I agree there may be some upside…I believe a lot of our issues (especially special teams) are inexperience. We have so many new players….
I think we can get past Tennessee if we put together 4 quarters. I think we should let the Run Game eat a little more.
