I'm pumped for this game. This is going to say alot about 8 as a quarterback I think. How is he going to perform in a hostile environment,in his first SEC start, on the road at Auburn. This is ZM's biggest test to date. And while Auburn is struggling, Auburn still has some players, and it's the SEC, in the state of Alabama. A few turnovers, get the crowd into it, you never know what can happen. LSU is more talented, and deeper than Auburn this year, and Auburn is having major trouble stopping the run, but you just never know for sure with all of the youth at LSU. I'm not saying I don't think LSU isn't going to dominate, because I think they are, and I think we will win by 20 at least, but there are obviously alot of areas that LSU needs to work on, and this is the first step along the way.

I hate to overlook any team, especially one 2 years removed from a NC but it's getting really hard convincing myself the real Tigers won't blow them out. Maybe they will prove me wrong but I see it being more along the lines of last years game. I guess Auburn knows who their QB is but he is gonna get eaten alive. He locks onto receivers and their D has more holes than I can count. The offensive line is also very young and inexperienced. It's just not looking good. The only reason it would be close is if we have a vanilla game plan. But even then, we should win solidly. Regardless of what history tells us about playing at Jordan-Hare.

Great to look at 5*'s, check the star rating on Hurst, Williford, Josh D. and P.J.
OLmen are hard to project. Vadal Alexander was a 4* player, now looks to be a major player, this early in his career. Scout had Jalen Mills a 3* player, right now, how would you rank him? 3,4 or 5 * Player? But right now, give me Mills. This staff has done one of the better jobs of rating talent, finding those players, getting them into the mix. LSU takes DL and move them to the other side of the ball, this is also working out.

I still like LSU to roll in this one, wouldn't be shocked to see LSU put up around 40 pts. in this one. But thats just me.

    Chizik:

"it's an exciting week for our team. ... "[This game] is what college football is about"

    Les:

"The people there are very excited about their team. ... Coach (Gene) Chizik will have them ready to play. ... (their) defense is very athletic ... (their) special teams are excellent."

Look at the offers given to the Auburn o-line ... LSU wanted at least five of their OL guys, Alabama wanted at least six of them

Auburn is terrible this year, they'd struggle to beat ar-kansas.... LSU is going to curb stomp them by 35.
Mett is smart he took his JC team to their NC, he know's how to play QB... he's made some mistakes sure but most were from trying to force something to happen and workin kinks out against lesser talent, he'll play much smarter going in to the SEC games. He'll be tearing up defenses by by mid season...

Out of all the kids signed the last four years under Chizik, do you know how many of them are no longer with the team? It's not quite 50%, but it is close.

What you hear and what is the case are two different things. The recruiting numbers and talent are one thing. You'll also hear "they are young" again this season but when it comes to the facts of the matter other teams in the SEC are playing younger players and have fewer upperclassmen.

Star ratings are all well and good, but they mean nothing without good coaching. Auburn has not had good coaching. Still, Auburn is a scary place to play. I still very well remember '00, '02, '04, '06, and '10.

Great, how many wanted Mo? Hurst? Williford? Go back and look, see who wanted Bennie Logan (Mich and Neb. were the two biggest, after that ULM, S. Miss and La. Tech.). Mo Claiborne got an offer from A&M, Tulane, Neb and La. Tech. Williford got two offers, LSU and Old Mrs. The former LSU player drafted this year in the first round the 14th. player taken had 4 offers Zona St, A&M, Neb and LSU. LSU gives out a bunch of offers, but they can't take them all. We do have a limit. Many times an offer is given with a condition, they make our camp, etc. Like now with the running back from Katy.
