Maybe, but I think relative to the rest of the NCAA, that's not uncommon. I think going so hard after Jimbo is unwise, but it could work out like you're saying. I thought Miles would never win a NC, I thought he was gone last year, and I thought we'd smear Wisconsin. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
Miles wasn't fired because he couldn't beat Bama, he was fired because he could no longer beat teams like AU, Ole Miss and Arky.
