I spent time on Camden when I was on the staff of thr Commader Seventh Fleet Logistics Forces. I spent most of calendar year 1980 underway in the Indian Ocean (Iran Hostage Crisis). We would transfer from big MLSF ship to big MLSF ship. Mostly on Roanoke. They got to go home, we did not. But I got a bunch of medals. Whoppee!
Yep...my sophomore always picks on me when he's back there to return a punt, "There's your man, Tre White."
What a nice win against the Hogs. This was their "Senior Night" because it was the last home game of the season. The Hogs were highly motivated and ready to get the win for their Seniors. They were decisively denied.
You Never went ashore. We would go to hello range and they would bring supplies out. Over and over and over.
Probably a half dozen times from 2000 - 2014. The Air Force had a satellite tracking & control station on the island. Long, long trip from CO to Diego. At least we got to fly business class which made it bearable.
We stopped by Diego Garcia on our way to Australia from Africa. Only the select few were able to go ashore. I was on WESTPAC 1994.....Carl Vinson Battle Group, and the USS Pelileu was the Lead ship for the ARG in the Battle Group.
If he is not getting it why would you tell him before the season is over. What a way to throw it in the tank. I guess we will know if we look like crap next week. I wouldn't be surprised if Alleva did something stupid like that. He's the next one that needs to get fired with grimes and BDP.
I would just hate it if LSU would not even consider him. I'm intrigued. I like what he is selling. He has won more games as an interim coach than he did at Ole Miss. He has obviously changed. Not every good coach's first gig is sunshine and daises.
