This is a thread I am going to make that comes from the grades I have seen a number of people put over the LSU team. I will look at LSU's grade and how they could compare to the rest of the SEC while looking at other teams the same way some view LSU.. First, I will start with Florida. You would think after the first two games UF was the real deal. Two games with + 50 points. Safe bet that most would put UF at an A+. then they play Ten and only gain 300 yrds and 23 points from a 1-2 Tenn team. Now look at the other teams UF beat: CSU 0-3 and Troy 1-2. Hmm, UF looks pretty normal vs a Decent SEC team huh......Still I am sure people would still rank those games with a A+ and the Tenn game is a B, which gives UF an A grade. Lets go to Bama now. Granted, Bama did play and Beat VT pretty good so give them and A, but hey, its an ACC team . Followed by FL int who is 0-2 and North texas who is 1-2. bama still had some issues in their second game but seemed to work them out so over all, I am sure most would agree that bama gets an A even with issues vs a 0-2 team.... With LOL miss again, why not give them and A, I mean they did beat SOUTH EASTERN...still Memph is 1-2 and Southeastern is 2-1. Not bad I guess, but LOL hasnt played anyone yet just like UF in its first 2 games.. Lots of yrds and stats can come from teams like this.... OK, now for Georgia. WELL, seeing How UGA lost its first game they get an F. WHY? B/C you get F's when you FAIL. Then add the the two games where they gave up more than 35 points in the last 2 games and close 2 and over 500yrds in each... BY Our standards that is at least a D. UGA= D- ARK, Well, they did beat Mizzu state but still managed to give up close to 300 yrds, 250 yrds passing. In the eyes of an LSU fan thats bad C-D grade. Then go to UGA game and WOW, over 500 yrds and 52 points. If you could go lower than a F they would have gotten it.. Ark = F Auburn. WHile 3-0, Auburn did give up 500 yrds to WVU, a win is a win but, over all D for the game. LSU got a D for the UW game and did better, SO I think i am being fair.... THey did beat MIss st but still, gave up some yards in that game too... And they didn't shut our La tech and IF LSU wouldnt have done that then LSU could have gotten C-D's. Auburn = C-, D+ Miss st, Again, another team with a loss,,,,,,F. IF LSU gets D's for a win you can expect nothing less here. DID beat vandy by all FG's tho......... Miss = F+ Kentuky, PLayed 1 game and did ok but not great so C-, Gave up 378 yrds 245 in the air. KU = C- Vadny, Nothing to see here 1-2 F!!!! Vandy = F USC, Again, beat some nobodies and really coulda beat UGA, BUT DIDNT SO F, C for their 1st win and C for this last win. USC = D. Well there you have it, and really, this is the out look most have had on LSU. Yea we won, but most don't like how we did it. Though, by using the same methods I have seen used on LSU, only 3 teams get HIGHER than a C. hmmmmm, lol. From what ive seen, its not the coaching at LSU and that is clear. WOW, before you get all crazy, hear me out. WHy do i say its not the coaching? look at it, why did these people get some big plays? Mostly missed tackels. If you look at it, about 85% of the time the playres are there, they just come up short. yea, some times so bad plays are called, but still, our players are the ones comming up short. HOWEVER, they are getting better week to week. I am seeing less and less missed tackels. Same witht he O. I love the play calling, but again, missed blocks/throws/catches is the whats wrong. BUT STILL, getting better. Over all, LSU is doing good. Looking and UW and the other teams in the SEC, i'd say LSU is a B- and growing... We can lose every game or win every game. Week to week. MY point is, even with the poor grades LSU has been given from its own fans, LOOK, LSU is sitting nice...
The funny thing is, with the way our fans grade LSU and the way things have played out so far for other teams, LSU ends up 4th behind the teams I listed as UF, Bama and LOL miss from most Sports writers and most people the country... Still, we all know LSU can beat those teams, its just a matter of doing it..
