Not sure what you mean here. Miles couldn't keep his damn head out of the kitchen when the guys he should have delegated were doing the cooking. That is why he got the boot, he couldn't change. There is no denying that
Miles had ran his course. He was a great coach but it was time for a change. I just don't think CEO is the type of big time name we need on the Bayou. We need a proven HC or a young energy guy with a good coaching background.
I can agree with that, can we get this type of guy? With this AD I don't know. I would love to get Herman as would everyone else in the south at this point. I just don't know if that is going to happen
I would never hate on Coach O. I met the guy before. Great guy, cajun to the core. I just don't think he is the type of guy we need for one of the Top 5 coaching positions in CFB IMO.
It's not about disputing anything you said. You have repeated the same shit for what 10+ posts. Yes O's record at Ole piss sucked. He has admitted to what led to that record and has said he's learned from his mistakes. Ole piss was also in a much worse position talent wise when he got there (probably had a very difficult time luring top recruits into oxford), then where the program is now. I'm not drinking the O for LSU HC koolade just yet. He still has some work to do, a lot of football remains to be played. But... if all of the top choices are not available or don't work out, then depending on how this season unfolds, he should get some serious consideration. I think Coach O loves LSU and this is his dream job, I think he would do what's necessary to make LSU a contender.
I agree. Let the season play out and we'll take it from there. I watched his presser this afternoon and was impressed with what I heard.
A unfortunate reality is that, I believe no matter how good or bad he does the rest of the year, if he is passed over for the Hc he probably is not on LSU staff next year.
