What if you had no other/poor options? This is really what I am wondering. I have no problem going outside and finding a coach I just dont want us to well.....hire another miles just b/c no one was out there left and we let Orgeron get away.

 

I look more at what he did building his own team rather than taking over midway with someone else team.

I also take more notice of what he did at Ole Miss than USC since Ole Miss is in the SEC and if he gets the gig at LSU that will also be the SEC.

 

The dude was 3-21 as a HC in the SEC What do you mean get away? Miles was 10 times better than CEO as a HC.

I mean if you guys think he has got that much better lets hire Curly Hallman or Dinardo back. They have gotten better too.

 

Yes 8 games in the hardest division in the hardest conference. Mason is a different story, has he gone anywhere else and won? Also O is a freaking recruiting machine (I could be wrong but I dont think Mason is), again he is on staff originally to recruit. I see and understand your trepidation. My point is I dont want to see us in the same situation we had last year with jimbo. Coach O is the back up plan IMO, however if he drops only one this remainder of the year and wins against the gumps are you telling me you would show him the door? Thats a tough one.

 

But miles did not act like a CEO his finger prints were all over the Offense, that is why he got the boot!

 

Mason is limited in recruiting based on academics at Vandy. Winning at Vandy is more impressive than winning anywhere else in the SEC based on recruiting restrictions 2-15 Mason 3-21 CEO at Ole Miss.. Coach O didn't have recruiting restrictions.

If he built this team then absolutely keep him.

We have seen him build his own teams in the past and it failed miserably.

 

The bolded part is correct. Neither did CEO when he was HC.
