While I agree we shouldn't have necessarily had the sky is falling mentality after the UNC game regarding our defense, we most certainly can take VERY LITTLE from what the defense did vs a high school offense like Vandy. I think we'll be solid enough to be competitive and win just about every one of our games (maybe even Bama as well), but that all depends on an offense that can do their part as well, obviously.
23-6. CLM plays it close-to-the-vest with his QB to try and "rebuild" his confidence. I see us getting in the end zone once or twice on big plays (special teams, RS, etc.) and a few drives stalling on the MooU side of the field, necessitating FGs. Don't know how much better about the offense/QB position I'm gonna feel after this game, but I'll take the 2nd SEC win.
I say LSU at least 1 point more than MSU. If this happens we will get a W next to the game on the schedule and that my friends is all that matters. There will be plenty of upsets this year in college football and many favorites will walk off the field with an L. Asking for more than a W is unnecessary.
I was speaking about this one particular game, not any sort of "big picture" assessment. And from what I saw of MSU, LSU isn't going to have to come up with a Ryan Mallet to score points.
Moo U offense is not good. LSU defense is good. Moo U defense is pretty good up front, not as good otherwise. LSU offense depends on Jefferson's ability to shake off last week. He doesn't have to throw for 300 yards. He just has to put in a 68%, 150 yards, 2 TDs kind of evening - like he generally has in the past. If JJ does that.... LSU 35, Moo U 6 If JJ does not do that... LSU 21, Moo U 13 I think he does it.
27-13 .......Lsu jumps out to a 14 pt lead..but by half if is cut to 14-7.....We score first in second half to make it 17-7...then msu gets a fg 17-10...we swap fgs again to make it 20-13.....only score of the 4th is a ridley touchdown..final score 27-13..
