This is by far the best prognostication. If this was played at Mississippi State, I would have it MSU 21, LSU 16. I have to believe Death Valley is worth some points. LSU 20, MSU 16
Miles and Co will play field position and keep it simple. Look for LSU to run, run, run. Our defense gets the job done again and a turnover sets us up for 1 easy score. Special teams will keep field position in our favor. 20 - 9 Tigers. We're the better team. :crystal::geaux::crystal::geaux::crystal:
Im going to roll with LSU 27 MSU 13 State will have 1 or 2 big plays on Offense that will get them inside the redzone, our D will play lock the rest of the game. Offense will struggle, the run wont be there as easily as most of you think after watching LSU's Depth murder a tired and winded Vandy Defense in the 4th quarter Our best hope is to force Miss St mistakes and turnovers I think we see our first Int this week and quite possibly our first defensive TD Round About Stats: Jefferson - 12-20 189 yds 1 Td Ridley: 17 carries 73 yds Shepard: 4 carries 78 yds 1 Td TT - gets the TD Catch
I simply do not see Miss. St. being able to get into the redzone very much against y'alls defense. They have no running game from their rb's. Their wr's struggle to catch the ball and both their qb's aren't consistent with their passing. They'll stay in the game with their defense. They've got a decent defense but not what Miss St has normally put on the field over the years. That hard nosed, physical, get you in a street fight type of defense. I don't think LSU is going to have to on a passing assault to score a lot of points. Miss. St. 10 LSU 26
I think, and I don't know why, this game will be the traditional LSU thumping of the Bulldogs. I see a score of 31-16. I used the full proof methodology of adding the scores of all LSU vs. Cowbell game scores from my lifetime and averaging them to arrive at that.
really? wow. in any case, i think we'll handle business on defense, but they will end up tired in the fourth quarter and give up a TD. offensively? well, i'm not too convinced that our FG unit it worth a damn, so i don't see many FGs from us. that means we need TDs. 28-10 ??? even with all of the QB problems against vandy, we scored three TDs. i'm not convinced state is any better than they usually are. auburn neither, for that matter.
Run, run, run, run, run... will then open up the play action pass, pass, pass. We will see 5 RB's again, plus Shepard... making 6. I believe Jefferson will run a good bit of PA out of the ace and I-formation and look for quick completions to keep the ball moving down the field. LSU will finish with around 250 yards rushing and 150 passing. MSU will play us very similar to Vandy. And just like Vandy, they won't be successful on offense. LSU looks solid again, but will still have a question mark next to their name as everyone awaits the 3 games after MSU. Prediction: LSU-30 MSU-7
