Perhaps you should correlate the two. It's been proven in more than one instance that a success football program has a direct effect on the academic side of schools (enrollment being one of a few benefits.) As far as financial impact is concerned? If you don't recall, one of the largest fund raising campaigns at Bama happened under Shula. Winning certainly attracts more, but the notion that the monies will suddenly dry up is short sighted. "...all you guys have..." Why don't you get out of here with that worn out bull shit. You sound like a processed PAC fan or a B1G fan who's moral superiority stance fell in on them. Honestly, I expect better from you, furd. Today you have the originality of a CW sitcom writer.
In the four season between '05 and '08 they averaged eight per season. It's possible, but it certainly is a challenge. With the pass happy, little defense schemes found in the Big 12 a team with a solid running game and good defense will win games. We've seen it when we've seen what a lot would call "boring teams" from the SEC played "high flying" teams of the Big 12. They--the Big 12 style attacks--can be grounded. Is Les a good enough recruiter to get that kind of talent/athlete on the defensive side of the ball? I don't see that out of the realm of possibilities.
Gotta agree with the gump, we’re still benefiting long after we said, “Be Gone Saban.” If O could mount a resurgence we might get back to impacting the whole university like Saban does at Bama. That died when we lost the national spotlight.
Somebody's panties are in a bunch. Next you'll tell me how that football has made your students smarter. You sir, are better than that. What else do you have in Bama not named NASCAR? In closing, and then?
