Not saying he will be competing for the tops but LSU does sign 3 stars from the state that Les might pick up. He has been here for a long time and has his connections. People like him. It will be more competition.
Are you saying that if a 3 star has a choice between signing with KU or LSU he will sign with KU? Does anyone know how many 3 stars we have on our roster on average?
Come on man. I am making just a general statement. It is what I feel. I predict these things. Let’s see how it plays out.
A 3 star with a choice of Kansas or ULM, UTSA, Troy, UAB, Southern Mississippi, etc. might well choose Kansas. Over LSU not so much.
I hope he does well. I just think he needs to concentrate on recruiting players in Texas & Oklahoma. I also think it's going to take him 2 years or more to get the program back on track. I don't know how many 18 year old kids are willing to wait that long.
Les will recruit Texas as well as Louisiana, Florida, Georgia and wherever else he has connections. He will not be taking players away from LSU, Texas, aTm or Oklahoma. He probably will get a few that would have gone to Houston, UTSA, Texas State and that ilk.
Like when Miles was here he went to Michigan to recruit. He will do the same thing now in La. can’t say how much success he will have but it will happen.
