I vote Tim Tebow. I know he never played for LSU, but I still vote Tim Tebow b/c he is so dreamy.

Title was great with the 49ers - they had no D. Tittle could throw any pass he wanted. Rookie of the year his first season in pros. 3 MVPs - one 49ers and two with Giants. 7 TDs in a game is still his record. Pass blocking has changed his his playing days. O linemen couldn't use hands. Alley Oop was his and RC Owens invention. Giants had better players than 49ers ever had until Walsh.

Bert Jones is number 2 QB - I watch 5 TD passes dropped by LSU receivers in the Colorado game one year. We lost 31-21.

Hobson was a very good QB as long as Davis was his receiver. When Davis left LSU - he didn't have a replacement.

You don't seem to want to consider quarterbacks that played in the two-way era. Stats from that era are different. Quarterbacks had to play defense. They had to play the whole game. Y. A Tittle is one of the truly great quarterbacks in LSU history.

You don't seem to want to consider their production in the NFL either, only their LSU career. Well, Jamarcus Russell left LSU early and never gave us a senior year. Tittle and Jones did.

We tend to favor players we have seen over players that we've heard about. People who have watched Jones and Russell both play all rate Jones a better quarterback.

In J Russell's senior year he only had one 300 yard game. If Jones had been the 2006 QB his numbers probably would have been very similar. Not because either one wasn't capable of racking up huge stats in any given game but Russell was limited by Jimbo Fisher's play calling. With a more pass oriented offense either one of them could have put 4000+ yards and 40+ TDs in that season.

The only game I ever saw where Jimbo turned the offense loose was the Alabama game when Rohan Davey threw for over 500 yards.

Tebow ordered SI to put him on the cover so he could destroy the jinx. Then he whipped Chuck Norris with one hand tied behind his back. Michelle Obama fantasizes about sex with Tebow while Barack watches.

If I had to pick someone to do an All-LSU team, I would just vote with Red on every occasion. He's got it DOWN as far as LSU history goes.

No different here. First name that popped into my head was Y.A. Tittle, because he is, as previously stated, a legend. Jones and Hodson are LSU legends.

Will this decade prove someone who is a legend in the game? A lot of potential, but as of now JaMarcus and Flynn haven't really had a chance to prove themselves.

    did you see my list?

    jones
    tittle
    davey

but i do have reservations about tittle. i didnt get to watch him and his record at lsu was not stellar. i could have easily replaced him with hodson.

im not considering nfl experience because i dont understand how that has anything to do with being an lsu qb.

seriously, how do explain the 10% difference in career completion % between jones and jr? i guess it was system/playcalling but i didnt get to see jones either. jr's stats are impressive. too many ints (which is huge) but he won, had a great comp % and yards.
