I'm working on creating a team in NCAA 10 with LSU's greatest players. As I'm sitting here sifting through rosters and whatever other statistics I can find, I thought it might be more interesting to start a series of threads and we could try to come to a consenus as to who should play on this team. Let's start with the QB. There are 4 slots, so what I'll do is add up each player's votes and figure it out that way. So geaux for it: who's the greatest LSU QB? :LSU231:
Tough. My favorite LSU quarterback was Herb Tyler, albeit he was not the greatest, so if i was going by logic and not favorites i would have to say... Tommy Hodson Bert Jones Jamarcus Russell Rohan Davey
was the case until I worked with the guy. fun to watch play, not so fun being a co-worker. never saw Jones play (bit too young for that), but my dad still raves about how good he was. I got Rohan over Hodson. Don't know how or why, but Ro had something about him that just elevated the entire team when he was on the field. JaMarcus falls right behind these 2 for me (not a bad list to finish last though).
I'll go with this list. I think Jones is heads and shoulders above the rest. Tittle is a legend, of course. 3rd place is debatable for sure, but Hodson was a winner. Jones and Tittle are the only QBs to have a substantial NFL career.
My grandfather says Jones is where it's at. And Tittle was right behind him. He says Tittle doesn't get it because Ole Miss won the game where he couldn't keep his pants pulled up
