To some extent, this could be the case, However, we will fare better against any team not named Bama.
This game totally sucked, save for a few minutes in the 2nd quarter. I absolutely hate losing to Bama; I hate losing to Saban. But to suggest we'll lose all of the next three games or that we should fire Miles or that Fournette shit the bed (his line did that...) are all knee jerk reactions. I was a Tiger fan yesterday. I am a Tiger fan today. And I will be a Tiger fan tomorrow. If the rest of you can't pick yourselves up and brush yourselves off, then go be a Bama fan or a soccer fan or something. But hopefully, our team has more inside of them than this. Bama looked far better tonight than I have seen them look all season. And we looked like we didn't show up at all. I hate that, but I hate the hysterical reactions on here more.
Correct, we won't face another front 7 like Bama. But if the coaching staff doesn't do a better job we could lose to anyone left on the schedule.
We beat AtM but that's it. Hogs and OlePiss will stack line and dare Miles to pass. Spoiler, he wont.
This is true. Bama simply plays us harder and better than anyone. Again, Bama lost to Ole Miss. Saban is more cerebral than Miles. I am with you regarding...the sky is NOT falling. But, it is hard to find anything good about this loss or any of the last 6 Bama losses.
Fournette plays for an OC that has no clue how to protect him against good dlines. I honestly thought Cameron would be the difference in the big games with his knowledge. But I was wrong. Vanilla and no imagination when he had 2 weeks to put in some plays that all 11 bama defenders didn't know where the run was going. Against a bama defense you cant tell them where your running like against other teams. They have the talent to stop you. against lesser defenses you can run him and still be good. Not bama. We needed an offensive co ordinator to scheme this defense. Change the way he used fournette. Cameron either doesn't have it in him or Miles wont let him. Its just 1 game but it is a disgrace to go into that game and throw your team under the bus. I believe Bama coaches put their players in a position to win. Ours didn't. They knew what we were running before we did. And our dumbass plan was to stand at center for 20 seconds every play so they had plenty of time to adjust.
So, was it "Sabanball" when they shit the bed against a three-loss OM team, where the Tide faithful were streaming out of the stands in the 4th quarter? How about when they needed Tennessee to miss three FGs in order to win that game? Bama played out of their minds tonight, and we didn't. Again, it sucks to hell and back. But what good does it do to run down the coach, the program?
That is what is maddening, LSU also had two weeks to prepare for Bama. Yet, Bama came out like a team possessed. LSU had yet another slow start. The play calling was terrible, LSU should have been opening it up like Bama did. This is now 5 in a row for Bama, that is not acceptable. It boils down to Saban > Miles. I'm not saying he should be fired, but I eagerly await his departure. The championshipd mind set and culture are not in place any more.
