No shot intended. What I meant and it sounds like a tradition at LSU is that the last night of practice, curfew is taken and after that players get out for a night to unwind a abit. I personally think it's good "team building" to do things where it's "players only" where they can be together on a personal basis. Reminds me of the military and getting "weekend passes" during basic. DI would bust your chops if you screwed up on a weekend pass, matter of fact he'd bust the entire unit's chops if one person screwed up. All team building, learning to take care of each other, protect each other etc.
I wear as much purple and gold as I can up here (live in Beaverton) and haven't gotten too much flack...yet. I am wondering what it is going to be like the week after the game. :geaux: Danny
Yep, IMHO - This is nothing more than a story completely blown out of proportion, the LSU athletes that were actually involved, should be punished and everybody needs to move forward, but the Police & the Media are absolutely in straight "over kill" mode right now
Danny, I doubt that you'll get shot outside of hunting season. Plus you'd have to be in the woods where someone could get away with it. The only way you'd get shot is if someone thought you were a husky. They aren't going to take a shot at a LSU fan after one game. You know I'm kidding...... Mostly. When I was a kid we use to refer to "hunting accidents" as Oregon divorces....... Business partner gets shot wife marries the other partner after the estate settles. I work just off I-5 and Kruse Way (I-217 area only east of I-5), so we're probably within about 5 miles of each other.
I agree. I have been mistaken for a husky fan while at the golf course. A guy walked over and was about to give me a ration of crap and then saw my LSU hat and stopped pretty quick. Kind of an awkward moment. Generally the fans are pretty calm up here, though im sure if I got closer to Eugene it might change a little. Im looking forward to a great game.
Last time I got paired with a husky on a golf course, he was the biggest cheater I'd seen in a long time. Teeing his ball on the fairway (in the summer, no "winter rules") he wouldn't put even if he was away if the thought he could get a better read from someone elses put. Just a miserable 4 hours with the guy.
putt A good friend and I were playing many years ago in Baton Rouge. I was looking over my shot when I happened to see him teeing his ball up in the fairway. I asked him what the heck was he doing. He laughed and said "improving my lie". Being that we were pretty horrible golfers at the time, I got a huge kick out of it.
