Ok, so what does this all actually mean for the Sept 3rd game. First, JJ was the only starter involved. Many LSU fans think they've got better QBs on the depth chart than JJ. So assuming LSU can get one ready (any one) they should be fine except for the experience issue. Davenport was #2 on the depth chart, with no back up. Looks like LSU might be a little thin at OT. You can let me know if this is true or not. Johns was #3 on the depth chart at LB, so that shouldn't be too much of a factor. Landry WR doesn't show on the depth charts so again a non-issue. Net result, LSU should have little impact on there ability to compete come Sept 3rd. Other than experience at QB and depth at OT. What do you guys think? This is based on the assumption that the four would receive at least a one game suspension for the Oregon game.
Depth wise on the OL we should be good as many of our guys can be moved around. With injuries this is a common practice on the OL. As far as qb I would rather play with JJ but we have had to win games without him when he was in a funk. Other than the mental issues involved we should be OK. You know all of this could be a farce by the :miles: to confuse Chipper.
I think you are right. This should be pretty much a non-issue for LSU. I'd just hate to see you guys short handed for this game.
Are you just trying to find out if you can still talk smack if Oregon wins? Of course you can  But in all serious, we still don't know for sure who will be starting or not. That's up to CLM
It really does not mean much yet, the investigation is still ongoing and there could easily be other persons of interest that the police still may want to speak with, and not to mention, there were other rules broken. Fact of the matter, we probably won’t know who isn’t playing until we realize they were not on the plane for the trip to Arlington. Which means neither will Oregon, that’s how Les Miles rolls, if he is not going to publicly punish anybody for that matter. As for our depth, I have no concerns at any position. Now as for whether or not JJ plays: Fans on here do not see eye to eye on Jefferson being our #1 QB, he has shown way too much inconsistence, however, he has also shown some consistence, and one thing he is consistently great at, is playing lights out football in BIG games, such as the Oregon game, and when he has several weeks to prepare, such as the Oregon game.
You won't find me talking smack if we win. Win or lose, you'll get a congrats and best wishes from me. You've got great fans and I've grown to enjoy LSU fans very much. This is a really good bunch of college football fans. I hope both of use get to play for some glass come January.
Great post but I was just busting your balls. That's why I uncluded  Good luck sept. 3rd though eta: how great would a rematch be in january huh? but I know the odds on that are slim, still fun to think about
as Coach Miles said, when the facts are clear, additional and appropriate disciplinary action will be taken if necessary."
