I've already posted that I pull for the team because they are primarily local kids. I have major problems with the segmet of their fans that are nothing but "LSU haters".
not calling them USL is one thing, but calling them UL instead of ULL, you might as well be wearing red on saturday. :tigereye:
No doubt. In the state high school championships, I saw Lutcher play, and they wore the white jersey with purple and gold shoulder stripes, gold pants, and a gold helmet... even had a logo on the side of the helmet with a Tiger with their school letters "LHS" across the top similar to the "LSU" across the top of our helmets. I was an immediate fan for them in that game. As for the ULL unis, if I saw a football team wearing a uniform like the ULL Cajun's colors and uniforms... I would honestly think that was boring and bland.
Just thought I'd mention that the University of Louisiana System website refers to our opponent this Saturday as the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Just sayin'............
So let me get this, we should send candy and roses to our in state rivals. Ooooohhhhhkkkkkkk, tell that to Bama and Auburn, or Ole Miss and MSU. Stop the insanity.
Yeah, you probably saw a poll for the most boring football uniforms in college football, and I wouldn't be surprised if ULL was voted #1 most boring uniforms in the nation. However, I do have to say that the "Cajuns" is one of the best and most original team names in sports. But, being that I've loved tigers my whole life, I'm cool being a Tiger, even though several universities have the same team name, and it could be considered unoriginal (although we chose the team name 'Tigers' based on the Confederate soldiers from Louisiana who went by the name 'Tigers')
Ok, for people who went there when it was USL, had friends there when it was USL, grew up around it when it was USL, it has always been and will always be USL. At least people weren't calling it Lafayette High.
