Actually, the Miami Hurricanes (who finished 4-4 in the ACC) brought down massive destruction on aTm 41-23 in the Aggies' and the Canes' third game of the season--all right in front of the Aggie home crowd at Kyle Stadium and in front of a national-broadcast TV audience. I watched that game on ABC, and I remember aTm made some big plays to start off the first few minutes of the game, and the Aggie faithful were going nuts in joy... and then the ass-whooping began.
Damn. I really didn't expect this loss. However, after I watched LSU struggle to beat Nicholls (no offense, they're having a good start this season,) I knew LSU would be in trouble for this game. I fell asleep during the game since I had just gotten in from Minneapolis with little sleep, and was worn out. I've never seen an airport that congested and confused. I swear, 99 per cent of the people in that airport were "first time flyers." Anyhow, I hope LSU can rebound and at least beat Washington St. and USL before going on the road against Utah. Look for aTm to be in the top 25 Monday (or whenever new polls come out.) These were two very evenly matched teams. LSU didn't have its game and that was the reason for the loss. I predicted LSU with one loss, and in the top 25, when SEC play starts. There is still a VERY realistic probability of that happening.
Aw, fellas, it's no big thing. :bball: basketball will be atop the SEC West this year, you just watch. aTm basketball has a butt-load of work to do just to finish in the top 3 of the Big XII South. In fact, it probably won't happen. As for football, at least we're not playing y'all ievery year like we did in the late 80's and early 90's. If y'all would have known that aTm was going to fall off of the cliff like we did, I'd bet y'all would have never have let the year-to-year contract lapse. Even then, what a night I had in Baton Rouge in '95 after the football game...thank you to the 5'11 brunette sorority girl from White Castle, wherever you are today. aTm has loundered like a stuck fish and you've won two National Championships recently, so I have to take my happiness where I can find it. I was always a big fan of the LSU vs. Texas A&M rivalry. In fact, I'd like to kick Miss St out of the SEC and replace them with you guys. Sorry I'm not in charge. Your alias is "jagvocate" -- and I'm familiar with the strong military tradition of aTm -- if you showed up at LSU doing your whole "I'm going to be an officer in the Judge Advocate General's Corps" thing, then I don't blame a girl for being smitten by you, thinking you'd be perfect husband material. On the other hand, if are just some aTm dork, and she slept with you anyway, then she ain't anything to be bragging about. Either way, I hope one day one of your daughters turns out to be the "5'11 brunette sorority girl" that has a night with some guy that only thanks her later on in life on some internet discussion board.
