Well, we will have to get used to it. Bama is the new media darling, since USC is DOA. And AU being above us is meaningless, since we play them in 2 weeks. They have a tough one VS ARK next week. We have a cupcake. Advantage: LSU!
It must be their 3pt win over the mighty Miss. St. If we had only beaten Moo U convincingly, we might be getting more respect. Oh, wait. . . Yep. Huge advantage for us getting Auburn after what will most likely be an emotional and hard-fought game vs the pigs. Regardless of the outcome, they'll probably be spent. We, on the other hand, get to re-group and fine-tune our offense.
No team would drop more than 10 spots for losing on the road against another top 25 team (within reason of course...and 2 scores isn't getting "blown out of the water"). That would never happen. Is 'Bama a #1 team? No, they have their problems and were exposed a bit. But if 'Bama isn't a top 10 team, neither are we. Just be satisfied. If we don't like it, we can do something about it: WIN.
that bucket doesn't hold water. i saw plenty of competence on offense last night. on the other hand special teams, for the second week in a row, needs to get its head out of its ass. PP7 needs to stop dreaming about a trophy and remember how to catch a damn football. another thing, UK doesn't possess the second-best defense in the SEC, florida does. we should've jumped AU.
Yep. We dropped more points on them than the former #1 team did. It appears that our offensive woes may be a thing of the past.
Auuburn & Cam Newton is the flavor of the week. Media loves flashy QBs and don't look at the total package or body of work. Plus after being pillioried last week it is hard to swallow your pride and change your vote. Hopefully we will feel disrespected and take it out on Auburn Rky & Big Red. Winning will take care of all issues. :crystal::crystal::crystal::geaux:
People will view the fact that the game came down to a game-winning TD pass with :06 left and believe it's got something negatively to do with Miles. :dis: Minus the 2 turnovers (Peterson's fumble SHOULD have been avoided--he needs to learn that he's NOT going to rip off 80 yard runs every time he touches the ball....it's OK to fair catch), we played pretty much our most complete game (both sides of the ball) all season. Kudos to the coaching staff on two, very well done schemes and kudos to the players for their execution on all but 3 plays (INT, Peterson's fumble and our kick-coverage team on that one return).
If we just win the games we have ahead of us...the rankings will take care of itself. Win out = NO DOUBT.
dude, it ain't easy standing back near your endzone trying to catch a very high punt at night with stadium lights in the backdrop, 90K+ fans screaming, and a dude coming full speed right at you. I wouldn't say PP7 had his head up his arse and dreaming of a trophy, he just simply didn't look the ball in. Dude's human and can make a mistake, but it doesn't have to be in the context you make it sound. Just food for thought.
