Boise State jumped TCU. TCU took quite a hit yesterday with the Utah loss to Notre Dame.

LSU gained 7 points on Wisconsin in the Coaches Poll. Given yesterday's results, that's a good thing for LSU moving forward. Might be a slight backlash to Wisconsin putting up 83 points.

TCU's computer polls will take a slight hit as well with Utah's loss. Oregon State also lost, which doesn't bode well for either Boise or TCU.

I think the pollsters are second guessing whether they want to see either TCU or Boise State in the NC.

LSU may be waiting on only Oregon OR Auburn to lose.

we picked up 9 votes on wisconsin while Boise and TCU lost a bunch of votes.

edit: err we picked up 9.

1184 last week for wisconsin 1197 this week
1153 for LSU last week 1175 this week.

so from a 31 vote difference to 22.

We gained 44 points on TCU and 23 on Boise State.

Voters are becoming more leery of putting these teams into the NC. It's getting interesting.

Nevada won last night, which could be good or bad. Nevada is going to be top 20 when they play Boise St in 2 weeks, but at the same time, the conference title will now be on the line for Nevada and hopefully propel them to beat Boise State.

The problem for LSU now becomes Wisconsin.

It's like LeBron James and DWade both playing exceptional all season and being up for the MVP award. They likely cancel each other out and neither one wins. That's the situation we're dealing with splitting 5th place votes with Wisconsin. We need them to go away.

And we need to win our last 2 games single handed ie convincingly. After the Bama type win, this team has no reason for poor execution and finish out strong. If the other stuff happens like oregon or auburn loosing a game, we have a very good shot.

Personally, I'd rather score 51 and shut the other team out than put up an ugly number like 83 and still give up 20.

51-0 is a cleaner, more dominant win than 83-20.

We got hurt by the Florida loss and North Carolina losing to VaTech. That was a double whammy for Boise State over us in the computer polls.

LSU's problem with TCU is the computer polls. We likely come out about even there. We have a decided advantage over Boise however. I just wish Nevada had lost last night.
