College Football's Most Valuable Teams - Forbes Nice to see us at the top. I was surprised to see us so high but I'll call it the "Honey Badger Effect".
Nope. Texas. Notre Dame was 2nd followed by Penn State (that's likely to drop next year due to recent events) and then LSU.
 Notre Dame still clinging onto their prestige from the 60's or whenever the phuck it was. How the hell do they make that much $$$ with no relevance?
That's kind of an ignorant statement. 1960's?!? That's Ole Miss, dude. Quit hate'n. Like it or not, but Notre Dame, being the premeir Catholic university, and one of the most all-time winningest program is a national program. They will generate support and donations from all over the country--not just the midwest/region in which they're located like many other programs typically do. And because of those things, they also have their own TV contract. That's what this list shows: earnings! Not "who's the most successful on the field the past 20 years". I swear, the Irish hatred/penis envy of people here is staggering.
Oh believe me brah, it ain't penis envy. Maybe you should know a little more about me before trying to call me out when I was clearly trying to make a joke. Wow.
I can see Texas and ND at the top ... I don't quite get Penn State though. I think it is quite the accomplishment that LSU is #4. Texas has ... well .. Texas .. one of the largest populated states in the Union. Notre Dame has the entire Catholic Community. Even growing up in Texas, me being Catholic .. I was a huge ND fan .. and still am. ND being a Private School also ensures LOTS of big money supporters. Penn State ... like I said .. I scratch my head on that one. I don't get it. LSU ... I mean Wow. An entire State Population that is less than the Metroplex. Publically Funded. ... in a State than is pretty high on the Poverty Scale .... and LSU bumps up to #4. That can only be the result of an outstanding program that has backed up it's brand with performance. AND .. I think having a quirky genius for a coach hasn't hurt either. I mean, you know people are tunning in just to listen to the guy speak .. not because they are genuinely interested in what he has to say, like us LSU fans .. but because they sit on the edge of their seat waiting for some Les Talk ... and then spend the rest of the week trying to figure out just what he meant.
