I dont think Maclin has the lateral speed to play LB, I could be wrong. If Ego is back at DE I suspect him to play the Strong side. Its definitely feast or famine for Davenport with so much talent behind him now.
Can you do one of these for our LB and DB's? Our D looks STACKED for the next couple years. Also, for the first time in quite a while, we may have 15 Off Linemen.
I think someone is going to slip inside, probably Ego or Edwards again. Our DTs are a big concern, IMO. That will be our weakness this year is up the middle. I think Brockers is going to be a good player but he is young and I like Downs. He gets injured a lot though. Davenport hasn't shown much at all and MJ is a possible academic casualty. Freak will probably get PT but you shouldn't expect a freshman to tear the world up at DT. If he does...watch out...:hihi: We're too young at DT.
Montgomery will be a beast next year. The question is who starts opposite of him. My guess is Kendrick Adams. Lavar Edwards & Aghayere are both solid, but unspectacular so far in their careers. Mingo was pretty good given his light weight last season - IMO all depends on how much muscle he can add this offseason. DT depth is sad. Brockers is good, but he's a nose tackle which we don't use in every situation. Downs is solid and I've heard good things about Logan, but Davenport supposedly just doesn't have the mean streak necessary to compete in the SEC. Some DE will no doubt move inside to DT. If Ego is sticking with DE, I expect it to be Aghayere. I also expect Jordan Allen to switch to OL.
