I don't get all the chit chat about this since everyone knows that people who go to college for a real education go to UL.
What school put a student up on a scissor tower to film a team practice in 50-60 MPH winds, that resulted in his tragic death? I wonder if Declan Sullivan's parents feel that Notre Dame is #2 on the "Smartest" list?
It's a flawed poll and I would say that even if LSU were in the top 25. Still have to wonder why the basketball program is so miserably low. I realize that not everyone is cut out for college and some might even have delusions of grandeur and think they're the next MJ, but with the exception of the occasional Ty Thomas or Stro Swift, it's not like we're filling the NBA ranks with players from the program, so what are they doing? Why aren't more of them at least trying to get their degree?
schools dont exist to teach people how to make money, they exist to educate. if people leave early, they are less educated. the real issue is why we care. education has next to nothing to do with why they are at lsu and why we know their names. the apr and the "student-athlete" are a farce.
