This is absolutely correct. Alabama looked far better than LSU did Saturday nite.

The rankings right now are irrelevant. On ESPN, I put Bama at #1. To me, they have the most impressive win of any of the top ten teams, so I threw them a bone.

But its only the end of September. By the end of October, we'll know alot more.

In what way? They put 31 on a team that wasn't even puttting up a decent fight? A team that has been overrated since the end of last year, by the way. That's the same kind of thinking that had USC unbeatable. Alabama's win was surprising, for sure, but let's not get all caught up in the halftime score. I'm sure realistic Bama fans will agree with me. Let's see how they look against Kentucky. If they dominate in what should be a down game (like our game this past weekend) I'll start to raise my eyebrows.

Agree... this Kentucky is quietly 4-0 going into next weekend... Playing the #2 team. Yeah this could very well be a huge trap for Bama, but we will see. The good thing about this year is it will be decided on the field for who goes to NC, and that is always a good thing... GEAUX TIGERS!!!

Could be. But once you get national recognition and the general consensus is that you are one of the top teams in the country, every game might be hard.

Bama owned UGA, regardless of what the final score was. If it was a fight, they would have stopped it in the first round. Now, what we don't know, how overrated was UGA? If they lose to us and lose to Auburn, its really a matter of them reading too much Athens press and being ripe to get knocked off.

Under Richt, UGA has laid some eggs. The Sugar Bowl vs WVU comes to mind. Last year vs UT. So its not out of their character. We'll see.

Its too early too put too much stock in polls. Its more of "how did we play" in the last game? IMO, thats the most relevant factor in our development. If we play well and continue to improve, things are right on track.

In our case, we won, but didn't play particularly well. I wasn't overly impressed. The good news is the coaches will get to watch the film, develop a game plan and have two weeks to make adjustments and corrections for us to be successful in Florida.

We control our destiny. Just win, baby.
