My nephew and I were texting back and forth, convinced we would settle for 2 fgs in a row to go up by 2 (16-14) instead of getting touchdowns. That's exactly what happened. We didn't even throw in the ball on the drive that got us the lead.

You think that breeds confidence in Mett? No.

He will play apprehensively from here on out (or continue to play apprehensively, more accurately).

It's the mentality of Les Miles. If he could abolish the passing game in football entirely, he would.

I see it a different way, I think Les was protecting him.

The team is improving and growing, next year will be like last year. Breaking in a new QB and a new O Line. Mett can make some good plays but the game may be a little fast at times, has to develop pocket presence around him, hopefully. Yes, most have agreed that if we had really good QB play this team would be dangerous for 4 years now, well unbeatable dangerous! lol The O Line play made all the difference last night though.
If they continue to play that way the QB statement is accurate, if the line plays the way they had before last night no QB could make a difference.
