I understand your defense mechanism, if you convence yourself we are going to lose you won't be as disappointed if we do. If we win then you are major surprised. It's ok, we'll be here to help.

I think we have better players, coaches and fans, and 31 to 3 is just a s good of a prediction as any other winning Tiger score I could throw out. If bama somehow finds the end zone and we win only 31 - 10, that will be okay. :geauxtige
If this really happens, it will have been the best football game in the history of football games. Legacy- I just don't see it happening. It's not about faith- you know I'm not a fair-weather fan. But if you look at performances, the only thing we have to go off of in predicting the unpredictable, then I do think that it will be a close game, low-scoring, and that Bama will win by a FG or less. If I had to predict, that's what I'd say. Luckily for me, it doesn't matter a darn thing what I think! Geaux Tigers!
LSU 20 Bama 10 Some of you oldtimers may remember that score! This oldtimer certainly remembers it well! That was awesome. The game was not nearly as close as the final score would indicate. hmmm... As I recall, no one (other than me!) gave the Tigers much chance of winning that game. I think there were even several posters on TigerForums predicting an easy bama win. :hihi: That was the Bear's last game against LSU. I was convinced that it was a major factor in his decision to retire suddenly following that season. Sadly, he died within months after.
To be truthful, I thought I was going to have to be the voice of reason over here on this topic. Kind of like point, counterpoint. This has got to be the most realistic sec football group I've been around. If you win, or lose, half this forum will be able to say to the other half, I told you so.
We try to keep a balanced, rational mind set. Some, including me, like to think we will win every game. Some, believe we don't have a chance in half the games we are going to play in this year. So far, it is the sunshine pumpers 2 (UGA and AU), the neysayers 1 (UF). In reality though if you go back to the start of the season most were saying we would be 9-3 to 10-2 at best. We are right on pace to end up that way and most will agree to be happy. Should we beat Bama, then the door to our season swings a completely different way. Which is what many of us, if not most, would really like to see happen. Even the neysayers.
